Alpha Rho Chi (APX) at Washington State University is a part of the national professional fraternity for architecture and the allied arts. The brothers in this fraternity study Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, and many more fields. Our brotherhood unites men and women for the purpose of fellowship, lifelong friendships, and our collective interest in professional development. This is exemplified by the fraternity's motto - Fidelitas, Amor et Artes or "Fidelity and Love of the Arts."
Here in Pullman, our brothers work towards improving our community through service and improving our own skills through team work on various projects based in architectural, design, and engineering principles. Brothers also enjoy a strong connection with professionals in our fields through our alumni network.
The Sostratus chapter, founded in 2009, is the only APX chapter located in the Pacific Northwest portion of Region 1. We are looking forward to helping other universities around the Northwest to start up their very own chapters and become a part of the brotherhood. Our cadency is the Beacon, which represents the light that led fellow brothers down the right path, which we hope to do often!
